The Central Congo Partnership is a United Methodist mission initially begun in 2001 between the Central Congo Conference in Congo, DRC (Africa), and Peninsula-Delaware United Methodist Conference (U.S.- which includes the state of Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland). Today (2012) the partnership also includes both Eastern Pennsylvania and Western North Carolina UM conferences. There are other U.S. United Methodist conferences expressing interest in this partnership. (Click on 'History of the Central Congo Partnership for in-depth description'.)
The current operating budget for the mission's projects is 60,000 (US dollars). At this time, honing project responsibilities among the U.S. conferences is on-going.
On-going support of all the conferences' churches is encouraged, and is necessary for the viability of the mission.
Visit the Eastern Pennsylvania and Western North Carolina conference websites for information specific to their conferences.
